  • documentation - 十一月 1, 2016

The following document describes the methodology used to calculate the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions trajectories projected by the CTI models for eleven sectors: Power, Transport, Oil & Gas, Buildings, Iron & Steel, Cement, Chemicals, “Other Industries,” Agriculture, Forestry, and Waste.

  • documentation - 十一月 1, 2016

This document provides an overview of underlying policy assumptions across different source materials and parameters used within the Carbon Transparency Initiative models.

  • data - 一月 4, 2019

This workbook contains data from the Carbon Transparency Initiative for use in the dashboards on the ClimateWorks Tracker website. Data are organized in column format for easy input into statistical programs. Please contact us if you are interested in accessing the full models themselves.

Meeting the Paris Agreement’s long-term temperature limit requires a decarbonization of the global energy system by mid-century. This report looks at the technology trends driving decarbonization in three sectors—power, transportation, and buildings—along with empirical evidence on what can drive these rapid transitions.

Through our partnership with the System for Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Removals Estimates (SEEG), a platform developed by a consortium of Brazilian NGOs under the umbrella of the Brazilian Climate Observatory, we have expanded Carbon Transparency Initiative modeling to Brazil.

To download the CTI Brazil model, please follow the download link, which will ask for a name and email address. As it is a macro-enabled workbook, you will receive security prompts from Excel when opening it and will need to enable the use of macros for it to function properly. From this page one may also download the full site data in order to make your own comparisons to the other CTI geographies.
